We’re in the midst of an international break and the UEFA Champions League group draw was just held, so it seems there’s no better time to check out the results and analyze things from a betting perspective!
Let’s start with the group of death €“ Group F. It seems that there’s always a group that features three heavyweights scratching and clawing to make it through to the knockout stage. Well, this year we have Group F, which boasts four big-time talents in Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and Newcastle United. It’s going to be must-watch action.
Other notable draws include reigning champion Manchester City heading to Group G, where they’ll take on RB Leipzig, Red Star Belgrade, and Young Boys.
Perennial contender Bayern Munich will be tasked with facing Manchester United in Group A, along with Copenhagen and Galatasaray.
Let’s dive into how all of the groups shook out and wrap up with a couple of futures plays that I’m locking in for the upcoming campaign.
Below I’ve listed all eight groups in full. In parentheses are their home country, odds to win the league outright, and odds to win their respective group.

2023-2024 UEFA Champions League Futures Picks
Arsenal To Win Outright (+1000) & Win Group B (-190)
The Gunners have pretty much had an ideal start to the new campaign on the domestic front. Through four Premier League games, they’re 3-1-0, which equates to 10 of a possible 12 points.
Now, let me go ahead and answer the question on everyone’s mind of who will take down Manchester City. Well, it was a massive confidence booster in early August as Arsenal defeated the Citizens in the FA Community Shield. It took a 90+11’ goal to force a late tie, where they would eventually win in penalties. They got the monkey off their back and proved that they could hang with the toughest teams.
The reinforcements of Kai Havertz and Declan Rice are enough to see this Arsenal squad take the next step and be competitive on the European front. I think they cruise to a Group B win while causing some chaos in the knockout stages. I’m high on the Gunners this Champions League campaign.
Inter Milan To Win Group D (-120)
Internazionale is fresh off an appearance in the Champions League Final this past June, a game they dropped 1-0 to the freight train that was Manchester City. There’s one glaring piece that will be missing from Inter this campaign, and that’s goalkeeper Andre Onana. The Cameroon native took his talents to Manchester United over the offseason.
However, it doesn’t look like it’ll be much of an issue as the Italian superpower brought in veteran Yann Sommer from Bayern. He’s off to an impressive start on the domestic front, going 3-0-0 with three clean sheets. As a matter of fact, Inter has out-scored their opponents 8-0 over the three matches of Serie A play this season.
Ultimately, I think this is an Inter side that’s built for these international competitions. They play impenetrable defense while always finding timely scoring from Lautaro Martinez up front. I expect them to win Group D outright and potentially make another deep run.
