We are past the two-thirds mark for the 2022-23 English Premier League season, as it has been one to remember for a variety of reasons. At the top, the Arsenal Gunners are running away with things, as things at the bottom are much more contentious.

Let’s take a closer look at how things might play out in an electric Matchday 29 kicking off on Saturday in England.

Manchester City (-170) vs. Liverpool (+450)

Manchester City, the defending Premier League champion, needs every victory they can get with only ten Premier League Matchdays left. They trail Arsenal by eight points despite having a game in hand.

This week, they will play Liverpool, the team that has most frequently been their rival over the last few seasons. Even though Liverpool has had a challenging season, they always appear ready for this match. The Reds prevailed 1-0 in the match at Anfield after defeating Man City in the FA Community Shield back in July.

In reality, because Man City narrowly defeated Liverpool 3-2 in the EFL Cup fourth round, this will be their fourth encounter this year. Liverpool is now in sixth place in the EPL despite frequently defeating City in their recent meetings. Although they are now seven points outside of the top four, they have just as much to gain from this victory as City does.

I like a close match to be kept close by Liverpool late, as they eke out a draw in this one.

Pick: Draw (+330)

Arsenal (-360) vs. Leeds (+950)

In this one, Leeds is only trying to escape being relegated, whereas Arsenal is vying for their first Premier League championship in almost 20 years. The Gunners have won six straight and have netted at least three goals in each of their past four matches. Leeds, meanwhile, just defeated Wolves, moving them up to 15th place and just two points clear of the relegation zone.

After Jesse Marsch was fired, Leeds coach Javi Gracia took over midway through the season, and his primary goal is to maintain LUFC in the Premier League.

But the Premier League betting odds don’t exactly suggest Leeds has a decent chance to win this game. Heavy favorites,  Arsenal only lost once at the Emirates Stadium in the EPL all season.

Leeds was defeated by Arsenal by a score of 1-0 earlier this season at Elland Road, and the Gunners have won the last five meetings in all competitions. I like an improved Arsenal to slot one more than home here.

Pick: Correct Score: Arsenal 2 – Leads 0 (+600)
